Ann Windsor
Proprietor
Hello my name is Ann, I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years and Early Years Teacher Status and a Level 3 qualification in Playwork. I am the specialist for Safeguarding and Health and Safety across the settings.
Childcare wasn’t my early career path having initially qualified in Beauty Therapy and Hairdressing after leaving school. Much as it was a rewarding experience it was however only short term. A chance meeting redirected my career path into women’s fashion retail where I progressed rapidly into management working right across the South of the country and often into Oxford Street and the West End.
Having children and working in an environment quickly embracing longer opening hours and days (we were still closed on a Sunday then) became increasingly difficult and as the start of school for my oldest child grew closer the need for a career change was imminent. Hence the birth of Barnies, temporarily named due to the conversion of a barn.
Barnies continues to thrive as the small personal environment I had aspired for, in which children can be lovingly embraced and nurtured to grow into confident young people as they enter school. I am proud to lead our family ethos and values and look forward to welcoming all to our settings.
